Easy “How To” Install a Recessed Wireless Pop Up Charger for Countertops and Desks
I show how easy it is to install a recessed popup wireless charger for a countertop, this was pretty straightforward and simple. It's installed this popup recessed wireless charger into a bar countertop that we also use as a work and study area.
This method can be used to install the wireless popup charger into any countertop, desk or flat surface. I started by unboxing the unit and used the mounting ring as a template to determine the size of the hole in which I need to cut out to accommodate the pop up outlet, then after marking the diameter of the hole I used a 1/2 inch drill bit to bore 3 pilot holes around the inside edge of the circle, a jig saw works well to cut the opening. Spring Clamp Storage Rack Build
Просмотров 1 тыс.9 месяцев назад
This is a spring clamp storage rack I recently made to organize and store my spring clamps when I’m not using them. The spring clamps are stored on a rack under some upper cabinets in the shop, when I need to use them, the storage rack sits nicely on the work surface until I grab one. The spring clamp storage rack is made from two pieces of 1/2” inch plywood that measure 4” wide by 11” long. I ...
Glue Up Tip Small Boxes
Просмотров 8059 месяцев назад
This is what I like to do when assembling and gluing up small boxes or drawers, if the small box has mitered corner I use painters tape as clamps, this process makes glue ups easy and accurate with great results. Lay the pieces of the small box with the outside of the box facing up and add painters tape to each joint making sure each end is touching the the other, flip the entire piece over and...
How I made a Taper Jig Sled to make Small Tapered Feet
Просмотров 726Год назад
This is how I cut tapers on the table saw quickly and safely, with my universal taper jig sled using a piece of 3/4” plywood that I already have in my shop along with some other 1/2” plywood scraps, I realize that that many other ways these can be cut, this is my preferred method. Also by making my own I’m saving quite a bit of money by not purchasing a ready made one that can cost a fair amoun...
How To Safely Cut a Dado in a Wooden Dowel Using the Table Saw
Просмотров 6 тыс.5 лет назад
I needed a safe way to cut a dado down the center of a round dowel to use as handles for some Narrow Push Sticks I was making so I put together this simple sled. I started by cutting (2) pcs of 3/4" scrap plywood to 2 3/4" x 5 1/2" for the end blocks, next I drilled a 1 1/4" recess about 3/8" down from the long edge of the blocks 5/8" deep. I inserted each end of the 8" dowel stock into the sle...

The inspiration came from watching John Heisz' video (which is really good) and a few others......so here's my new and improved version! A full size pdf template pattern is available upon request, thanks...

Here is a quick and easy shop idea on how to label your wooden hardware bins or boxes to stay more organized and actually be able to find what your looking for in the shop. To get started I printed the labels I needed for organizing my screws on some ivory colored paper thats as close to the actual color of the plywood, then trimmed the label slightly larger than the edge of the box where they ...

Here is backyard bat house I recently made using some rough sawn cedar fence boards that you can get at any home improvement store. The overall dimensions are approximately 5 1/2" x 5 1/2" x 20", the roof has an overhang of about 1 1/2". The bottom of the bat house is left open giving the bats easy access the three interior compartments are 1" deep for the bats to roost and keep them warm. The ...
Spring Loaded Door Buck (door holder stand)

Here is a pair of Spring Loaded Door Bucks (door holder stand) I put together so I can mortise out for the hinges on some interior doors. The spring loaded door bucks open and close on their own with the help of a large elastic band located under the base, these are held in place with two recessed 1/4" bolts, which allows the door bucks to open and close automatically when placing the door down...

Isnt that a groove?
@@justin-tv3pc yes ….. it is a groove, and of course you can call it anything you like but in woodworking to properly describe a groove cut into a piece of wood its called a “dado”!
@@henryworkswoodandmetal I was just trying to figure out how to do a dado around a dowel, I can't remember the name for it. I made wood screws for a moxon vise and wanna make the thing that connects screws to chop but still let screws rotate freely.
@@justin-tv3pc ohhh ok! Thanks for the clarification! And thanks for watching….
Thanks for the excellent tutorial, I have many scraps of exotic hard woods and all of the tools necessary that will make very good knobs, without any out of pocket money!
Can I get a template? Please.
Yes, but I will need an email address to send it to……
Easy smeasy.
Thank you so much!
Simple clamp holder, get a kitchen towel rail/holder from the hardware store, attach to any wall and just clamp around the bar and let the clamps hang down. These can also be used for medium size gripper clamps as well
Or…….. you can throw them In a cardboard box 📦 and drag them out every time you need them…..it’s what I used to do!
Excellent! If I had a table saw, a band saw, a router table and a nail gun I could store my spring clamps! Instead, I clip them to a piece of 6mm ply nailed to a rafter.
That’s brilliant! If I didn’t already own the table saw, bandsaw, router table and the nail gun, I would probably store them in a box! Thanks for sharing!
Where did you get the bands from
They carry them at most truck stops, they are used to secure cargo straps for flat bed trucks, you can order them from a company called “Northgate Cargo Control” a package of 5 costs $3.99!
I like your jig, thanks for sharing!
Thank you so much for watching!

I find that a curved tip dental syringe is super for dispensing glue precisely and controllably where it is needed in the amount required. It is easy to fill and to cap up with a toothpick after dispensing the glue.... Dental syringes are very inexpensive (e.g. from amazon) and can be used disposably when you are not going to use them again for a long time. They are particularly useful for injecting glue under loose portions of veneer when repairing furniture.
I would have thought of gluing the paper down and leaving it oversize to just sand off the extra, great tip
You make everything look so easy I think even I could pull that off, thanks for such a great idea 💡
Thanks I appreciate you, it really isn’t that hard of a project
That’s so clever, it looks like a very safe way to cut the slot, great job
